MAKE IT – 3 MIAMI WOMEN ILLUSTRATORS YOU NEED TO KNOW
For a while now, I’ve been wanting to start a series that would not only give artist a place to shine but also a chance for you; my readers to get familiar with an array of talent.
The design world; whether considered an artist or a designer is a necessity! So why not show the world outside of design what they’re missing.
So I am proud to present MAKE IT! A bi-weekly series that will indeed put some amazing digital artist, illustrators, photographers and more on the forefront.
Kicking off this series is three Miami women illustrators you need to get acquainted with because in many ways, they are unique, bold and now on my personal list of illustrators that are going to kill it.
- CINDY / MIAMI / @cinderblkk
If there’s anything people should know by now is my undisputed love for color. Cindy’s women-empowerment themed illustrations are bold, fresh and simply empowering. Her style is aesthetically aligned with those of Refinery29, so don’t be surprised if one day her work will be posted up everywhere soon.
I’ve met Stephanie a couple of times in the past but never knew she was an illustrator, which to me is officially a bonus. Stephanie describes her current series as Lil Giants, where she takes all of our most coveted rappers and basically turn them into bobble heads; which would be a dope product to produce one day.
Upon entering Samantha’s site, I immediately stumble across total Solange vibes; a flawless way to set the tone for something great. Samantha’s approach to design is the epitome of pastel-heaven yet heavy with character and wit. A freelancer and shop owner of Franjo, Samantha seems to cover all her bases with a touch of dainty and wanderlust.
These three women all have something different to bring to the table, so make sure to stop by their profiles and give them a follow!
